LIVERY Minimize

Active Equestrian operate out of two centres, located in Chalfont St Giles and Great Missenden in Buckinghampshire.  Between the two centres we have some fifty stables, 180 acres of post and rail paddocks, 5 solariums, a water treadmill and equine spa.

Each premises have isolation yards for the supervision of visiting horses prior to entry to either main yard.  Secuirty systems include general CCTV monitoring thoughout, plus alarms to each stable.

In addition, a number of stables have CCTV which is used to monitor mares in foal and horses in recuperation.

EQUIPMENT Minimize

We have an equine spa which is particularly useful in ensuring the best condition for our horses legs, especialy after competition, or periods of long distance travel.  It also aids in the recovery of damaged tendons and ligaments and is a recommended treatment by many top vets.

There are five Weinsberger solariums which have both infrared and ultra violet lights together with hot air blowers.  These solariums provide many benefits to our horses; allowing warm up and cooling down periods before and after training to be reduced.  By providing additional ultra violet we aid in their general well being and condition.

The water treadmill, one of only a few in the UK, is proving extremely useful in the essentail fitness work necessary to build a dressage horse to competition level.  Various levels of water and speed can be specified to provide an extremely granualar degree of work load.

All staff must undergo rigorous training and examination to operate this highly specialised equipment.

ARENAS Minimize

We have both a 70 x 25 metre indoor school and a full size outdoor arena, both with Martin Collins best quality equestrian surfaces.  Each school is equipped with mirrors, sound systems and seating for spectators.

The maintenance of the riding surfaces is crucial to the well being of our horses and therefore our schools are harrowed regularly with speciased leveling equipment provided directly by Martin Collins.
