HORSE SALES Minimize

Selling your horse
Active Equestrian offer a horse sale livery plan.  This allows you to send your horse to us so that we may realise your horses maximum condition, fitnes and performance; thus allowing you to not only obtain the correct price, but also to use our marketing systems which provide access to our wide range of contacts seeking to purchase quality horses.

Buying a dressage horse
Due to our horse sale livery plan, not only do we always have a number of our own horses for sale, but also those of our clients who have asked us to ensure their horse is in perfect condition for sale.

Buying abroad
Let us take the hassle out of those wasted journeys abroad searching for your ideal horse.  We spend a considerable amount of time travelling across Europe and America inspecting dressage horses of all levels, both for our own requirements and for those of our customers.  Let us know what you are looking for and we will use our extensive contact list of dressage professionals who we rely on for only the best referrals.
LIVERY AND TRAINING Minimize

We are able to offer high quality full time livery and training services for you and your dressage horse.  In addition we offer short term plans whereby you simply tell us your goals; whether it be for you or your horse, we will provide a detailed program which meets your exact requirement.  For further information, please see our facilities and training sections.

WINTER REST Minimize

 

For polo teams we offer a winter break, where your horses can be cared for by our professional staff thoughout the winter season.

We have plenty of grazing land with many paddocks on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, providing an excellent level of maintenance fitness work during the off period.

We will even bring your horses back into work after the break, and how about some dressage schooling?  Don't worry polo players, we won't expect you to come along for a lesson!
  

BREEDING Minimize

We have been running our breeding program for a number of years now and have some stunning youngsters to show for all the hard work.  In 2007, we successfully produced two full brothers to our Olympic horse Active Walero, despite his dam being 22 and his sire Wanderer, long gone.  In 2008, we produced a number of wonderful foals including the first full sister to Walero and another full brother.

As we were advised that "Mother" would be unlikely to carry a foal full term, we decided on embryo transfer; this proved so successful that she has already produced six foals!

TRANSPORT Minimize

Active Equestrian vehicles are licenced as Type Two Transporters which means they have been inspected and certified for international long distance journeys.

All vehicles are fitted with temperature and video monitoring equipment which allows the driver to assess the horses at all times.

All of our drivers and travelling grooms have passed the new City and Guilds examination for Drivers and Handlers which is now a mandatory requirement across Europe.

Our vehicles use the latest Euro IV and V engines which means they are less harmful to the environment and as such are exempt from the London Low Emission Zone.
